S.Y. 2004-2005
I just can't believe that my first year as a college student went on so fast! Time can be really surprising. It's not long ago that I was a mere high school student enjoying every childish thing that I actually thought was sensible, hehe. I missed it but life is all about moving on and learning. You can't be what you are now in the coming years, you are to change, constant change. ;) From here I actually learned a lot, it changed some parts of me maybe for the bad but there is definitely a lesson learned that I could use.
Before I could still remember how excited I am to be in college, what it feels to be one, etc. but once you are one its not a big deal anymore you just do your thing. Once in while you miss being what you are before but you readily snaps back to reality and accepts it. And in between that change is finding a new home, something that you are going to be used to. It is something new before yet after being it you can say that it feels like home or it is where you really should be. I never regret choosing my course and my school, and I feel lucky to meet such wonderful people and experienced things that would surely be worth remembering (just like what we are doing of reminiscing the good old high school days now, hehe). It really brings out the sentimental part of me, *sniff*! ;)
- The first time I set foot in the university was when I took the exam; I really hadn't had a good look around. Second time was during the interview, then the confirmation, then enrollment and miscellaneous.
- I could remember that during the first weeks of class naliligaw ako! As in nung first day pa lang I went to school alone and had a hard time locating my building, as in nakakahiya. ;p late pa nga ako nun e, then nung dismissal mas worst! I do not know where to go out, which gate and which way, haha. I went all the way sa may engineering building (espana gate) e kabila un ng gate ko, I was really panicking… I could not remember how I found my way! ;p Hindi lang yan ung mga times na naligaw ako, I think one time I came out of the main lib and going home I could not find na naman my way to p. noval I walked straight until I reached a dead-end na puro workers na ng UST! Haha, sobrang nakakahiya! ;p
- Our first activity, class activity was the Sabayang Pagbigkas for the Linggo ng Wika celebration. We had prepared for that. We practiced during free times and seek professional help. I chose being a production member na lang, I don't know I can not attend the practices during weekends kasi I have to go back to Batangas. That's also the time I got sick for the first time! Another reason to not perform. Last night ng practice we had to do the props at naalala ko we stayed late na nun sa school. There are even times na nagaaway na mga tao. Chris bagwis slept sa unit ko, haha. As in nakakatawa un! The following day nung mismong presentation na I was the one na nag-video. We did not win, saying… nagandahan kaya ako as in! We are expecting a place pero wala e. ;( At least bonding ung class and we did our best talaga! :)
- POWERFRIENDS, my ever-dearest friends! Friends ko na sila since first day and everyday as a first year student sila kasama ko! Super dami memories namin ng mga yan. ;) Together with one eleven peeps! Love ko 'tong mga 'to! Astig! We been together through thick and thin: how our professors hated us or kami lagi nirereklamo and stuff. Maingay kami definitely, magulo, bastos… lahat na! Frist sem pa lang dami na kami kaso. Sir Jayvee (boys), Ma'am Aboy (unforgettable), ung case where in the half of the class where absent sa Math kasi may project sa theo! May kaso kami nun, cutting daw! (the night na nag-inom kami nina auds and Claire!!!). First labas to RP manila with Jim, Hanna, Chris and Francis (it was like within the first week of the school year! hehe!). Pumunta w/ Edu and Az sa RP for a gift sa gf ni Edu. Watching feng shui with the boys; ung pinaikot nila kami sa poste! Kung fu hustle sa G4! Constantine sa gateway with Hanna & Silly! Hitch with the powerfriedns sa gateway! The day I went to GH w/ Karen, Francis, Steven, Mike to get my phone. Our everyday foodtrips, we even had the time when we would eat with the boys sa carinderia so as to save money pero we are naturally spenders when it comes to food, we just love food! ;) Making tambay kina Edu na wala naming elevator tapos 4th floor (LIBERATED!), tambay sa Galeria (mga kabastusan ni JIM!). Karen's debut, Vicki's debut… sheesh lamig ng tubig! ;p Birthday ni Hanna sa Mcdo, bday ko in MAX (hehe). FIRST SEM tambayan: field SECOND SEM tambayan: rooftop, PAV. My forever groupmates sa chem. (shout out: HERO, MAJAN, MELVIN, AUDREY, MELVIN). Cheating during psych test with a lollipop, haha! And lotsa cheating, hehe. ;) The "secret" fire drill, NURSING WEEK, the "accidents" during chem. Lab… haha! Ma'am Pena. ;) When Jim and I didn't finish the retreat because I left my phone in Edu's unit (I had confessed pa naman nun). The concerts: LIVRE, FRESH NIGHT, BANYUHAY… PASKUHAN. Eastwood documentary. I used to rent VCDs, hehe. DotA sa GS! Billiards during break times. All the teachers and other level teachers who got mad at us for being noisy etc. Foodtrips in Dapitan, late night stays in UST. THE UNFORGETTABLE CHEERDANCE COMP (UAAP). The trip to Silly's house. And a lot of PICTURES! :) Soundtrippin, guitar sessions, videos, PE sessions, First sem volleyball w/ Hanna & Miguel-Second sem softball w/ powerfriends (KULELAT!;p). Filipino translation & presentation!! (yang ginagawa mong yan!) Frog dissection… ung pagputok ng balloon ni Claire nung bday niya! ;) The February celebrants' celebration in jollibee. The JOROSS mania w/ a lot of other crushes!!! ;p The boys eating the cake sa unit ko. The secrets between POWERFRIENDS. Zoology practicals, Chem post lab, Chemistry quizzes... ;) Our beloved FROG! AT SA LAHAT NG MONTHLY, PRELIMS, at FINALS!!!
- And as for myself I experienced a lot! Lalo na sa Galeria Suites… :) It's my first time to LIVE alone… as in cook, clean, wash the dishes etc. on my own… whew! I got sick alone, that I can't cook and by the time I was really hungry I forced myself to open corned beef and cook rice. There are times that I really starve myself because I didn't want to cook. I even got hospitalized from eating street foods, hehe. I learned my lesson! ;p I commuted thrice, alone… twice from katipunan riding the LRT and once from Cubao Gateway Mall. ;) I rarely commute alone; it's just in times of need, hehe. I remember the first time I commuted sa LRT super bano as in!!! ;p Naligaw ako sa loob ng LEGARDA Station I didn't know where to exit!!! Napapunta ako sa booth ulit ng ticket… haha. Pero nakalabas ako, thank GOD! :) Claire and I survived 2 earthquakes! Experienced 2 brownouts; one w/ Chris Bangis (TONG ITS!!!) and another w/ AUDS (the day na vcd marathon noong may kuryente pa and niloko namin si KEVIN, hehe!;p). Ang araw-araw na paglakad ko sa pnoval street going to our building, 15 min walk!!! The "rooftop" incident w/ Claire… haha. We opened the fire exit door and the alarm just went on! ;p The baha incident, we ran out of food kaya ayun naglakad kami ni Claire sa baha to get to Mcdo! Of all the days of my stay one time lang akong hindi umuwi! Cooking fests with Claire, fresh out of the can. :) At laging wrong number, nakakainis! Dinners in Dapitan, forever D'sizzling. ;p The time I fell down the stairs sa 4th floor… hehe. Sakit nun! Laila's stay in Galeria. Practices of Claire and her groupmates in fitness sa Galeria. Editing of our English paper sa unit ko w/ Claire and Fle (KARAOKE!).
- and with my bestfriends: overnight we went to Eastwood to watch Mean Girls… I commuted back to UST alone. ;p Overnight when we meet Coy sa Taft. We went to UP (before Vikki’s debut). The day they went for the Livre concert. Trips to Mirriam w/ Vikki. Glorietta before going to Marvin’s bday.
*At madami pang ibang mems… hopefully lahat kami pasa sa cutoff! I would really, really miss these guys… lalo ka na KAREN! Huhu, you’re gonna leave POWERFRIENDS na!!! Mamimiss ka namin, mahal ka namin! Together forever dapat tayo… ehehe. Lahat ng saya at lungkot… at kalokohan siempre. Mahal ko kaung lahat, uno onse… bow! ;)*
